SIWAVE is the secretariat and operating the Sensors and IoT Industry Alliance (SIA) which is established under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

With the support from over 800 alliance member units and related industry associations,  SIA serves to speed up core technology R & D in IoT industry, including sensor design, industrial intelligence and cyber physical system (CPS). In addition, SIA also aims to speed up the standardization of IoT industry core technologies and key products.

SIA defines the application of sensors and intelligent systems in the fields of industry and robotics, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, biomedical engineering, and promote the industry to develop towards micromation, intelligence, multi-sensor information fusion, intercommunication, as well as safe and energy-saving designs.

1. Work Content of SIA

① Establish expert committee to formulate technical standards for Internet of Things applications such as consumer electronics, automotive electronics, biomedicine and intelligent manufacturing.

② Undertake national strategic subjects and technological research projects, introduce international advanced industrialization projects and build IoT industry incubator parks nationwide.

③ Organization training and evaluation of advanced technical personnel in sensors, CPS and Internet of Things

④ Establish functional service platforms, including R&D, engineering, incubation, intellectual property rights, etc.

⑤ Carry out market and technical consultation and provide industry development and technical analysis report

⑥ Hold international professional exhibitions, technical seminars and industry summits on a regular basis

2. Standing Director Units of SIA

The standing director units of SIA consist of the representatives and organizations in the sensors and IoT industry chain. At the same time, SIA also cooperates with local governments and unites the IoT alliances and associations in various regions to promote the development of China's sensors and Internet of Things industry.

3. Sensor China Expo & Conference

SENSOR CHINA Expo and Conference, supported by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and held by The Sensors and IoT Industry Association, is the first professional industry show focusing on sensor technology & application and sensor-oriented IoT solution in China.

SENSOR CHINA, with its debut in Sep., 2016, received high attention from the industry and global leading companies, is listed as one of the three major industrial communication platforms along with Sensor Expo held in U. S., and Sensor + Test held in Germany.
